ABOUT ME

I am an experienced writer, communications manager, and journalist with a passion for the intersection audience engagement and newsroom product management.

I am a graduate student of the Studio 20: Digital First program at New York University's Arthur L. Carter Institute of Journalism, where I studied innovation in digital journalism, UX and human-centered design, audience engagement, and strategic product development.

In the last two years, I've put these skills to use by strategizing and developing creative solutions for newsrooms who: i) need help connecting with their audience ii) want to build stronger community ties, iii) need to find a way to encourage more productive debate, and iv) want to create a centralized space where audiences can engage with their journalism

I started my career at Reporters Without Borders (RSF), an international non-profit organization advocating for the freedom of information and the safety of journalists, where I worked in communications three years. While at RSF, I led the US branch's communications and social media strategies, worked on individual cases of journalists detained abroad and at the border by ICE, and advocated to lawmakers to create better protections for journalists at home and internationally.
